Evolution or Resolution
One of the distinguishing features of our style , is the constant evolution and modification of the tenets of transmission of curriculum.
As A healthy and vibrant tree , needs constant pruning and attention , to remain
A living and viable Martial Arts style, we modify and improve on minute details
of our Style.
The roots of the Teachings are kept fairly pure and original ; whilst the
interpretation of techniques and methods of application are updated singularly. Our view of Combat is very pragmatic , and we examine individual patterns and movements , in order to test the efficacy of utilization. We eradicate only what is superfluous and redundant , but we never lose sight of our ancestors and our responsibility in maintaining their legacy with due respect and diligence. We pay proper homage to those who came before us , but we don't worship and exalt them in the manner of idol-worshipers.
We employ modern techniques of combat , irregardless of the source and our
view is untainted by bias and prejudice. Martial science and pugilistic psychology
is greatly under-utilized in traditional Martial Arts , and we are hopeful that this trend will change , and as other things , if there is no evolution , there will inevitably be atrophy and extinction.
Human beings as with all other creatures in nature , do not act like robots and break-down their movements spontaneously. In Martial Arts we should follow the same way , but time and time again we have witnessed the opposite of this philosophy. Our actions and movements should flow and have relaxed fluidity and
animal characteristic in its manifestation. It should not be artificial or
atypical of human mode of action and behavior. Everything we do should be
carried out without tension , and with fluid grace and innate naturalness.
